China by a large margin retained the first place among suppliers of goods to Ukraine in January-July 2026, securing imports worth $16.8 billion, according to data from the State Customs Service.
According to calculations based on statistics of the State Customs Service, China accounted for about 28.9% of all Ukrainian goods imports, which reached $58.1 billion in seven months.
Poland became the second largest supplier with the volume $5.5 billion, or about 9.5% of imports, the third is Germany with $3.8 billion, or 6.5%.
Thus, only three countries provided almost 45% of the value of all goods imported into Ukraine for January-July.
The total import of goods for seven months increased by 26.6% compared to the same period in 2025 — from $45.9 billion to $58.1 billion.
The main factor behind the high volume of imports remains machines, equipment and vehicles, the purchases of which amounted to $25.7 billion. Another $8.5 billion fell on fuel and energy products, $8 billion on chemical industry products.
At the same time, Ukraine's exports grew much more slowly over the same period - by 3.8%, to $24.1 billion.
