As reported by Open4business, Ukraine's foreign exchange earnings from exports of ferrous metals in July 2026 amounted to 199.9 million dollars, which is almost 32% less than in June, when exports brought in 293.6 million dollars, according to the data of the State Customs Service.
Thus, July became noticeably weaker than the previous month for Ukrainian metallurgical exports.
In general, in January-July, the enterprises of the industry received from the export of ferrous metals $1.678 billion, which is 7.6% less than in the same period last year.
At the same time, the import of ferrous metals in July amounted to $176.4 million. The difference between export and import thus decreased to approximately $23.5 million for the month.
For seven months, metal imports increased by 7.2% to $1.023 billion.
The decrease in July of export revenue occurs after two years of restoration of metallurgical exports. In 2024, its value increased by 16.9%, and in 2025 - by another 7.85%.
