As reported by Open4Business, insurance companies of Ukraine specializing in life insurance, collected UAH 3.6 billion in January-July 2026 insurance premiums, which is 11.7% higher than the indicators of the same period in 2025.
As reported on the website of the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine (NASU), in July 570.7 million UAH were collected in insurance premiums, which is the highest result of the current year and indicates the willingness of the population to invest in their own future even in conditions of macroeconomic uncertainty.
In addition, in the opinion of NASU, an important an indicator of development is the active expansion of client portfolios due to new contracts. In particular, the volume of premiums in the first year increased by almost 13% compared to June.
NASU also notes that in the seven months of 2026, payments made by life insurers increased by 39% compared to the same period in 2025. This trend is quite predictable, as companies are now massively and stably returning funds under long-term contracts concluded 15–20 years ago.
NASU also reports that for seven months of 2026, the rating of life insurers based on collected premiums is as follows: SC "MetLife" - 1.887 billion UAH, SC "TAS" - 617.7 million UAH, "Grave Life" - UAH 373.9 million, "Life ROM" - UAH 241.6 million, "Arx Life" - UAH 213.3 million.
Rating by payments: "MetLife" - UAH 427.1 million; SC "TAS" - UAH 322.1 million; "Grave Ukraine life insurance" - UAH 284.3 million; "Unika Life" - UAH 108.7 million; PZU Life - UAH 53.5 million.
As reported, as of August 1, 2026, 10 life insurance companies were operating in Ukraine.
