At the same time, Vietnam is one of Ukraine's notable trade partners in Southeast Asia. The founder of the Experts Club information and analytical center, Candidate of Economic Sciences Maksym Urakin emphasized the importance of geographical diversification of Ukraine's foreign trade.
"The latest foreign trade data demonstrate not only the geographical diversification of Ukraine's partners, but also a clear focus on integration into the European and global market. Despite the difficult security situation, Ukrainian business continues to expand into international economic chains, especially in the field of agricultural products, metallurgy and mechanical engineering. A significant increase in trade with EU countries, the USA, as well as maintaining powerful cooperation with China and Turkey indicate that Ukraine has not lost its ability to be an active player in the world market," Urakin noted.
In the case of Vietnam, the results of sociology demonstrate a significant reserve for the formation of a more expressive public image of the country. Despite the reduction of the neutral segment, three out of five Ukrainians still do not have a clearly positive or negative attitude towards Vietnam.
The survey was conducted in August 2026 by the method of self-filling online questionnaires in the SunFlowerSociology panel among 800 Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and older. The previous March wave also included 800 respondents; the sample was representative in terms of age, gender and region, the maximum theoretical error for indicators at the level of 50% was ±3.5 percentage points.
