Polish refining group ORLEN delivered 75,000 tonnes of automotive petrol to Ukraine in October 2026, accounting for about 48% of the monthly import total of 156,000 tonnes, the A-95 Consulting Group said in a press release on 4 November.
Analysts said ORLEN supplied about 70,000 tonnes in September. The group increased its shipments and remained Ukraine’s largest corporate supplier of petrol.
ORLEN has refining capacity in Poland and Lithuania, the two largest sources of automotive petrol for the Ukrainian market.
Ukraine imported 50,000 tonnes of petrol directly from Lithuania in October, around 32% of the total. Poland supplied a further 40,000 tonnes, or about 26%. Together, the two countries accounted for 90,000 tonnes, nearly 58% of October imports.
Romania was the third-largest supplier at 35,000 tonnes. According to data previously released by A-95, it shipped 30,100 tonnes in September.
Shipments from Germany rose to 20,000 tonnes in October. UPG was the main Ukrainian importer on that route, accounting for 14,000 tonnes. Supplies from Greece fell to 4,000 tonnes.
From January to October 2026, Lithuania supplied Ukraine with 460,000 tonnes of automotive petrol, up 21.1% from 380,000 tonnes in the same period a year earlier.
Polish supplies rose 7.4% to 290,000 tonnes, Romanian supplies rose 16.7% to 280,000 tonnes and German supplies rose 12.5% to 180,000 tonnes. Imports from Greece increased from 80,000 to 110,000 tonnes, up 37.5%. Shipments from Moldova fell from 90,000 to 70,000 tonnes, down 22.2%.
The four largest suppliers — Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Germany — shipped 1.21 million tonnes of petrol between them, or 85.2% of Ukraine’s total imports in the first ten months of 2026.
The figures show how much Ukraine’s fuel market relies on European refiners and transport routes. Concentrating imports on a few routes makes reliable infrastructure and a wider range of suppliers more important.
Ukraine imported 1.42 million tonnes of automotive petrol in January–October 2026, 12% more than a year earlier. A-95 expects rising demand for generator fuel to support further growth in petrol supplies through the end of the year.
ORLEN is a Polish energy group that refines oil, produces and sells petroleum products, and operates in the gas and power sectors. It runs refineries in several European countries.
