The IT sector remains the largest source of export revenue in the service sector of Ukraine: in January-August 2026, computer services accounted for 41% of all exports of services in the country, according to the Experts Club analysis based on data from the National Bank of Ukraine.
For eight months, Ukraine exported services for $10.9 billion, which is approximately 6% more than in the same period of 2025.
Export IT services reached $4.46 billion, increasing by 4% year-on-year.
This means that more than $4 out of every $10 that comes to the country from the export of services is generated by the IT sector.
At the same time, services in general provided about 30% of total Ukrainian exports. The export of goods for January-August amounted to $24.9 billion, and goods and services together - $35.8 billion.
This ratio shows the extremely high value of IT for Ukraine's foreign trade: one service sector alone provides about 12% of the country's entire export revenue.
To compare the dynamics of the IT sector itself, the indicator of the first eight months of 2026 already roughly corresponds to the result of the same period in 2023, but remains at 9% lower than the record level of 2022.
Thus, in 2026, IT simultaneously strengthens its position after several years of decline and remains a system-forming export sector of the Ukrainian economy.
