As reported by Open4Business, one of the largest trade and industrial groups of Ukraine Fozzy Group since November 1 In 2026, it will cut some of the employees of the holding's office divisions, the Silpo supermarket chain, and the logistics department due to growing business losses due to Russian attacks.
As the group reported on LinkedIn, organizational changes were announced to employees at internal meetings. Previously, similar changes have already taken place in the MAUDAU marketplace, as well as in the TEMABIT Software Development and E-commerce & Ecosystem IT teams.
"Unfortunately, this means that we will have to say goodbye to some of our colleagues from the holding's office teams, the Silpo network, and logistics. Even earlier, similar changes took place in MAUDAU and the TEMABIT Software Development and E-commerce & Ecosystem IT teams. This is a forced decision due to the fact that the war is increasingly affecting our work," Fozzy Group said in a statement.
Only in the period from August 1 to September 25, more than 20 of the group's facilities, including distribution centers, supermarkets and production facilities, were destroyed or damaged by Russian attacks.
The company notes that as a result of the attacks, part of the infrastructure and product stocks were lost, while ensuring uninterrupted business operations becomes more difficult and expensive. Fozzy Group is reviewing its priorities, suspending some projects and tasks, abandoning some, and looking for new solutions for others.
At the same time, the group continues to open stores, restore damaged objects and rebuild logistics. For these directions, Fozzy Group continues to recruit employees in supermarkets, warehouses and production enterprises throughout Ukraine.
"Our task now is to keep the business strong enough to work for visitors and have the resources to restore what the war continues to destroy," the company emphasized.
Fozzy Group is one of the largest trade and industrial groups in Ukraine and manages more than 825 retail outlets. It includes the chains Silpo, Fora, Fozzy, Thrash!Thrash!, White Chamomile, E-ZOO, as well as logistics, production, IT and other assets.
The key retail asset of the group is Silpo-Food LLC. According to the YouControl system, the company's revenue in 2025 amounted to about UAH 106.8 billion, an increase compared to approximately UAH 93 billion in 2024. At the same time, the net financial result remained under the pressure of high costs for operational activities, logistics, energy and the consequences of the war.
Another major asset of the group is the chain of stores "Fora", which operates through "Fora" LLC. Its annual income already exceeds UAH 30 billion, which makes the compis one of the largest operators of Ukrainian food retail.
The aggregate business scale of Fozzy Group significantly exceeds the indicators of individual legal entities, as the holding unites dozens of companies in the field of retail trade, production, logistics, restaurant business, e-commerce and IT. In open corporate data, the group has traditionally estimated the size of its team at approximately 50,000 employees, remaining one of the largest private employers in Ukraine.
Fozzy Group is owned by Ukrainian businessmen Volodymyr Kostelman, Oleg Sotnikov and Roman Chygyr. The group was created in 1997 and today is one of the largest players in Ukrainian grocery retail.
