In January-August 2026, Ukraine imported 4.2 million tons of diesel fuel, which is 7% more than in the same period of 2025, the Consulting Group "A-95" reported.
At the same time, directly in August, supplies decreased by 10% in annual terms - to 588 thousand tons.
The main feature of the market in August was a significant reorganization of logistics. If a year earlier, about 50% of imported diesel fuel came through the southern route, then in August 2026 its share decreased to 33%. At the same time, the share of deliveries through the western border increased from 50% to 67%.

According to the director of "A-95" Serhii Kuyun, the change of routes is connected both with the price situation on the European market against the background of the war in Iran, and with the growth of military risks, the cost of freight and secondary logistics in the southern direction.
At "A-95" they expect that autumn will remain a difficult period for the fuel market due to the strengthening of Russian attacks and market the turbulence associated with the war in Iran.
