Poland and Lithuania provided 55% of gasoline imports to Ukraine, about half of supplies are related to ORLEN

As the analytical center Experts Club reports with reference to the data of the "Consulting Group A-95", the Ukrainian gasoline market continues to be concentrated around supplies from Poland and Lithuania: in July 2026, these two countries accounted for 55% of all imports.

Ukraine received 56.1 thousand tons of gasoline from Lithuania, 51.7 thousand tons from Poland. In total, this is about 107.8 thousand tons from the total volume of imports of about 196 thousand tons.

At the same time, the Polish direction shows particularly high growth rates. Compared to July last year, the volume of deliveries increased by 68% and reached the maximum since August 2025.

Imports from Lithuania increased by 16% year-on-year.

The oil refining concern plays a key role in both directions ORLEN. The group's enterprises in Poland and Lithuania supplied about 97,000 tons of gasoline for the Ukrainian market.

A-95 estimates ORLEN's share in more than half of imports. When comparing the rounded figures of 97 thousand tons and the total volume of 196 thousand tons, we are talking about half of the market.

High concentration has a double effect.

On the one hand, the large and stable refineries of Poland and Lithuania enable Ukraine to quickly increase purchases in periods of increased demand and compensate for the loss of other suppliers.

On the other hand, more than half of the resource falls only in two geographical directions, and a very significant part of supplies is connected with one oil refining group.

Poland's importance increased especially after Ukraine switched to E10 gasoline. The change in the standard limited the possibility of attracting some traditional sources, including some Greek refineries.

At the same time, Greece did not completely disappear from the market. In July, Ukraine imported about 25,000 tons of gasoline produced by Motor Oil.

Germany became another rapidly growing destination. 21,000 tons of gasoline were delivered from there, which is 78% more than in July 2025. This entire volume was imported by the UPG network.

Thus, the structure of July imports demonstrates two parallel trends: strengthening the role of ORLEN as a system supplier and simultaneous attempts by the largest Ukrainian networks to diversify purchases through Germany, Romania and Greece.
