Polish ORLEN S.A. in July 2026, it supplied a total of 137,000 tons of diesel fuel to Ukraine from its oil refineries in Poland and Lithuania, maintaining its status as the largest corporate supplier of the resource to the Ukrainian market.
The volume of the company's supplies increased by 25% compared to July 2025 and by 61% compared to July 2024, according to the data of the "Consulting Group A-95".
In total, Ukraine imported 562,000 tons of diesel fuel in July. Thus, ORLEN accounted for about 24.4% of all monthly imports, or almost every fourth ton of diesel imported into the country.
The increase in ORLEN supplies occurs simultaneously with the strengthening of the role of Polish and Lithuanian routes in Ukrainian fuel logistics.
202.8 thousand tons of diesel were imported from Poland in July against 161 thousand tons a year earlier, an increase was about 26%. Supplies from Lithuania increased even faster — by 65%, from 51,200 to 84,300 tons.
Director of "A-95" Serhii Kuyun attributes the increase in the load on the Polish route primarily to the record shallowing of the Danube and security risks that have complicated traditional logistics through the southern direction.
At the same time, despite the growth of total imports by 5% in annual terms, the Ukrainian market faced a shortage of diesel fuel in July. Among the reasons, "A-95" cites the rise in world prices after the new escalation in the Middle East, increased demand from industrial and private buyers, and increased fuel consumption due to the reorientation of part of agricultural exports to road and rail transport.
In August, analysts expect the situation to normalize due to a decrease in world prices for petroleum products and an increase in supplies.
